Samundra Institute of Maritime Studies (SIMS) organised a blood donation camp on 03rd April 2025 in collaboration with MIMER Medical College and Dr. BSTR Hospital, under the theme “Service to Humanity is Service to God.”

Objective of the Event

• To encourage voluntary blood donation among cadets and staff.
• To create awareness of the health and social benefits of blood donation.
• To contribute towards emergency medical needs and lifesaving care.

Activities Undertaken

• Pre-donation health screening for all volunteers.
• Guidance from medical experts on the benefits of regular blood donation.
• Distribution of refreshments and certificates of appreciation to donors.

Outcomes and Impact

• Around 25 cadets, including one girl cadet, and faculty members donated blood.
• Approximately 30 units of blood were collected to support critical medical needs.
• The event fostered empathy, responsibility, and community spirit among participants.
• The professionalism and support of the medical teams ensured a safe and successful camp.
