SIMS Lonavala Cadets carried out a Tree Plantation Drive at Zilla Parishad Primary School, Takwe, as part of SIMS’s ongoing commitment to environmental conservation and community outreach.

With enthusiastic participation from cadets and support from school staff, several saplings of native tree species were planted in and around the school premises. The initiative encouraged children to reflect on the importance of trees and sustainable living, as cadets interacted with them to share knowledge and experiences.

Held on 15th August 2024, coinciding with India’s 78th Independence Day, the event symbolised a joint celebration of freedom and nature. It not only enhanced the local green cover but also instilled a sense of environmental responsibility among the students, reinforcing SIMS’s ethos of service, discipline, and social responsibility.
