Soft Skills and Self-Defence Skills Session at ZP School Takwe

Samundra Institute of Maritime Studies organised a session on Soft Skills and Self-Defence at Z.P. School, Takwe, as part of its CSR initiatives, on 29th November 2024. The programme engaged 21 students, along with teachers and the school principal.

Chief Engineer Mr. Makarand Date led the soft skills segment, using interactive examples to explain the importance of communication, teamwork, time management, and adaptability in everyday life. Mr. Date explained how effective communication, teamwork, time management, and adaptability can help students excel in academics and beyond.

This was followed by a practical self-defence session by Ms. Komal Tobare, a skilled Karate practitioner, who demonstrated techniques for personal safety and guided students through hands-on practice. The session helped build confidence and awareness among participants.

Students actively participated throughout, and the initiative was widely appreciated for being both educational and empowering, equipping students with valuable life skills for their future.
