As part of Anti-Ragging Week (12th–18th August 2024), Samundra Institute of Maritime Studies (SIMS) organised a poster-making competition to raise awareness about the harmful effects of ragging.
The week began with a faculty-led briefing and a short awareness film, followed by cadets taking a pledge to uphold a ragging-free campus. The poster competition encouraged participants to creatively express their thoughts on unity, empathy, and respect.
Cadets from different batches submitted impactful posters that highlighted the dangers of ragging and the importance of a safe learning environment. Their work reflected a strong collective commitment to eliminating ragging and promoting solidarity among students.
The initiative reinforced SIMS’s stance on zero tolerance towards ragging while empowering cadets to become advocates of respect and inclusivity.
