The post sea training center of SIMS was established with a purpose of enhancing the knowledge and skills of seafarers in the rapidly changing environment of technological advancement, regulatory amendments, and stricter inspection regimes.

Over a period of two decades, SIMS has earned an impeccable reputation in the industry. Besides having hands-on training approach integral to our course curriculum, training methodology, course curriculums are designed based on actual vessel performance data and industry feedback. Course contents targets the real challenges faced in ship operations and helps the seafarers enhance the performance onboard.

We are mindful that these seafarers will form part of the shipboard management team and will also take up leadership positions ashore in future, hence courses on resource management, interpersonal skills and leadership are also in bouquet of courses conducted by SIMS.

Every certificate issued by our Institute is a guarantee that the participant demonstrated the skill and has the requisite knowledge in the subject area, at the end of the course. I feel honored and privileged to be the principal of this premier Institute.
